From 14 to 16 June “Evenings of the Bolshoi Theatre at the Radziwill Castle” took place in Nesvizh for the 10th time. This year, the festival gathered more than 3,500 guests.

‘During these 10 years, our festival has grown stronger and become a real brand of the Bolshoi’ general director of the theatre Vladimir Gridiushko said at the press conference. And this is true. This year three unforgettable evenings took place at the Belarusian Versailles.

On 14 June, "Evenings of the Bolshoi Theatre-2018" started with the recital of the Honoured Artist of the Republic of Belarus Elena Salo “Portraits. Klavdiya shulzhenko”  at the theatre hall of the Radziwill Castle. Accompanist: Irina Telepneva. Then the first festival day continued with a traditional concert from the "Belarusian chapel" at the Church of Corpus Domini. The Honoured Artist of the Republic of Belarus director Victor Skorobogatov prepared the concert dedicated the 200th anniversary of Stanisław Moniuszko, which comprises the works of the composer. The programme features the leading opera soloists of the Bolshoi theatre: Irina Kuchinskaya, Ekaterina Mikhnovets, Yuri Gorodetski, Sergey Lazarevitch. Svetlana Nemohai performed Moniuszko’s works for the church organ. In the evening, the courtyard of Nesvizh castle turned into Italian Verona, where, as you know, the story of more woe took place. Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet staged by People's Artist of the USSR and Belarus, artistic director of the Bolshoi Theatre Valentin Elizariev was performed. This season the premiere of the new version of the production based on Shakespeare's drama took place. The lead roles featured Irina Eromkina, Igor Onoshko, Konstantin Geronik, Egor Azarkevich. Andrei Galanov conducted.

On 15 June, the leading opera soloists (Irina Kuchinskaya, Victoria Krasinskaya, Victor Skorobogatov, Yuri Gorodetski) performed Stanisław Moniuszko’s works for the admirers of the chamber genre at the theatre hall. And in the evening, Puccini's Tosca, staged by the principal stage director of the theatre Mikhail Pandzhavidze, were performed in the courtyard of the castle. The leading roles were performed by Nina Sharubina, Vladimir Gromov, Sergey Frankovsky, Vasily Kovalchuk. Aleh Lessoun conducted.

On 16 June, string quintet Serenada performed the programme “Through life with a song”. The Gala concert featuring leading opera and ballets soloists of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus closed the traditional festival of the classical theatre art on the main stage in the courtyard of the castle.
