For the first time, The Little Humpbacked Horse to Rodion Shchedrin’s music appeared in the calendar of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus! The premiere took place on 30 and 31 October.
The production team includes: the principal ballet master of the theatre, People’s Artist of Belarus Yury Trayan, musical director Nikolai Koliadko, set designer Lyubov Sidelnikova, costume designer Ekaterina Bulgakova, lighting designer Sergey Martynov.
In both premieres the role of the Tsar Maiden was brilliantly performed by the People's Artist of Belarus Irina Eromkina. The Honoured Artist of the Republic of Belarus Konstantin Geronik and principal dancer Even Capitaine delighted the audience in the role of Ivan. The People's Artist of Belarus Kanstantsin Kuzniatsou performed the role of Ivan’s father. Mikita Shuba and Taro Kurachi masterfully performed the role of the Little Humpbacked Horse. The Honoured Artists of the Republic of Belarus Anton Kravchenko and Yury Kavaliou appeared in the role of Tsar. The People's Artist of Belarus Olga Gaiko and ballet soloist Tatsiana Ulasen were charming in the role of the Sea Princess. The role of the Magic Mare was gracefully performed by the ballet soloists Elizabet Ignatchik and Veranika Auchynnikava.
